my Favorite moments in film
This is nothing of importance. Just some of my favorite movies and favorite scenes from them. I am in no way, shape, or form qualified to review movies. I’m just an artist enjoying others’ artistry. All of these movies have impacted me as an actor and a human.
I also want to add that even though this does not qualify as a film, the influence and impact Lana Del Rey and her work have had on my art and my life is undeniable.

Priscilla
I adore this film. I love how even though she goes through so much, she is eventually able to find herself. She has an inner strength about her the entire film that is so moving. Whether or not the events in this film are accurate to real life, I have no idea. But I do know that this film portrays aspects of womanhood that I, and probably many women can relate to. This is the only clip I could find available of it on the web but the entire film is beautifully done and the soundtrack is amazing.

A streetcar named desire
This is just as brilliant on film as it is on stage. It is my favorite play and the combination of the genius of Williams’ writing, Brando’s acting, and Leigh’s acting creates a masterpiece. The iconic “Stella” yell scene will always be my favorite part of this film.

Son in law
I am convinced I am this film’s biggest fan. I have seen it hundreds of times and it never gets old. Plus it’s the only movie I know of that is kind of a Thanksgiving movie.

THumbelina
This might be my favorite childhood movie. Although it’s hard to choose. As an adult, nostalgia aside, I think this a beautifully animated film. However it’s hard to know if I am really putting the nostalgia aside. The only film I might’ve watched more in my childhood is Disney’s The Little Mermaid. I guess I just really loved Jodi Benson’s voice as a child.

Mermaids
Another nostalgic movie for me. But also a classic, in my opinion. Who wouldn’t want to be in a family with Cher as your mom and Winona Rider and Christina Ricci as your sisters? I adore the last scene in the film with the three of them.

Frankie and Johnny
In my opinion, Al Pacino is the greatest actor of all time. His range is incredible and every character I’ve seen him in is a masterpiece. I love this movie because of how raw and intense these characters are and how wonderful the actors playing them do at making them down to earth.
Father of the bride
I love both Father of the Bride films equally. They never fail to make me laugh and cry. Plus, watching the dynamic that is Martin Short and Steve Martin alongside Diane Keaton is wonderful. While this is one of the more emotional scenes, it is perfect.

Coal Miner’s Daughter
As a girl born and raised in Oklahoma, country music has always been a part of my life. So when I first watched Coal Miner’s Daughter at eight years old, I was hooked. I watched it so frequently that my grandma knew to immediately turn it on when I went over to her house. Sissy Spacek and Tommy Lee Jones’ portrayals are wonderful.

Moonstruck
Just so good. Cher. Nicholas Cage. Their performances are so touching and vulnerable. It’s not your typical romantic comedy.

SCROOGED
Yes, I know this is a Christmas movie. But I love it so much that sometimes I have to watch it when it’s not Christmastime. It is the best and most perfect Christmas movie, in my opinion. I think the reason I love it so much is because of the dynamic between Frank and Claire. And the film ends in that feel-good 80s way.

wHEN hARRY MET SALLY
This is the perfect RomCom. It’s a classic so I don’t feel I need to explain why. I personally love how messy it is. Because that’s how love is. It’s never as simple as you want it to be.

Urban cowboy
While they may not be the most healthy couple, I can’t help but love Bud and Sissy. Maybe because they teach you everything not to do in a relationship. But I do tear up at the very end almost every time I watch it.
